Management requires constant learning and adjusting while delivering on demands from diverse stakeholders. It is relentless.

There’s no roadmap, no sure path to success, and lots of uncertainty. No wonder failure rates of new managers can be as high as 70%, and burnout happens regularly.

But you took a chance, stepped up, and chose to try management. You’re driven and ambitious, ready to hold yourself to high expectations. You desire success and accomplishment.

And that isn’t happening. The demands are constant, and you feel alone, overwhelmed, and unsuccessful.

Somedays, you wonder if it’s worth it. Should you find another job? Do you just need to work harder? What comes next?

I’ve been there. I knew there was untapped potential in myself and others, but I wasn’t sure how to access it. The more I advanced, the less support and training I received. I struggled through it, teaching myself along the way.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Being a manager should be exciting and rewarding. It should provide energy and confidence for you and those around you. You should feel proud to be a manager, knowing you’re impacting the business and employees’ lives.

I started Shiftfocus because managers need more support, and I want you to be successful. The world needs more great managers because managers impact lives.

I want you to go home each day knowing you’ve helped the organization grow and provide people with good jobs. I want you to feel the respect and admiration of your co-workers. I want you and your team to enjoy life more because of your leadership. I want you to experience the confidence of realizing you can do more than you think. And I want you to be successful for the long haul.

For individuals, I offer executive coaching packages that include assessments, goal setting and tracking, and personalized coaching so you realize results.

I work with small groups and provide facilitation, workshops, and group coaching. I am also available for public speaking and have keynotes I can deliver.

Depending on your needs, I have several options for an initial engagement. As appropriate, I will also incorporate components from my People-First Management program. I designed this for managers seeking to scale their impact and effectiveness.
