About Brian Walch
For 25 years, I helped grow an IT consulting firm from 20 to over 200 people, expanding from a single office to seven. Along the way, I worked with small businesses, public agencies, and large organizations to transform operations, implement enterprise systems, and build high-performing teams.
As a leader in recruiting and HR, I saw firsthand how success always came down to one thing: the manager. When managers led well, teams thrived and work flowed. When they struggled, projects stalled, people left, and progress ground to a halt.
Working across many organizations, the same gap showed up everywhere. Almost no one had a system for developing their managers. Development happened by chance, and the results showed it.
I started Shiftfocus to give organizations that system. When leadership development is built into how the business runs, managers grow, teams perform, and that success carries into people’s families, relationships, and communities.
